NautiPup is excited to announce a brand-new custom collection of wristlets, crossbody bags, and totes. Made to order, each one-of-a-kind bag is sewn in our studio featuring designs that I have created with cork from Portugal and fabrics with hand-drawn artwork.
Crazy over cork
Cork is an eco-friendly and sustainable material made from the bark of a tree. Imported from Portugal, the bark from the cork tree is removed very carefully without damaging the inner new layer of the tree. The Portuguese cork trees are protected and harvesting practices are regulated. A cork tree lives for approximately 160 years and each tree produces about 15 yields in its lifetime. And, cork can be produced with little waste as much of it can be reused and recycled.
Once harvested, the cork slabs are finely sliced and laminated onto fabric and treated with a protective coat for strength. Lightweight yet durable, cork has a durable yet lovely soft texture that can be wiped clean if necessary. It is offered in an amazing rainbow of colors - and includes some printed designs and laser cutouts to add a distinctive look.
The GoGo AnyWhere Cork Bag
With canvas-backed cork and palm-shaped laser cutouts, this versatile bag has a tropical vibe that is perfect for vacation, staycations, and everyday use. Rope handles give it a fun and casual nautical look. The interior includes two slip pockets to hold your cellphone, sunglasses, or dog treats (that's a regular staple in my bags!). The size is approximately 12"W x 10.5"H x 3" deep. Prices start at $65. This bag will be offered in solid cork - colors will vary depending upon availability.
The GoGo Cork Combo Wristlet
Crafted with printed denim on the top and cork on the bottom, this colorful compact bag is ideal when you need to carry only the essentials. It comes with a detachable wristlet strap and accented with a cork tassel for a funky and chic accent. The zip-top closure keeps everything inside safe and secure. Bring along your phone, a lipstick (or two), and other small items with ease. The size is approximately 9"W x 6"H x 1"D. Price is $38.
Since these are new products, these photos represent the samples recently created. I am in the process of designing different combinations of cork with my custom fabrics. And due to COVID, the fabric printers are struggling to keep up with demand so it can take up to one month for fabrics to be printed. Please be patient - I know it will be worth the wait!
