The Sausalito Shopper
The Sausalito Tote from NautiPup Designs was inspired by Jennifer Sampou - an amazing fabric designer who lives outside of San Francisco. She specializes in creating spectactular quilts and table linens. I recently took a trip to San Francisco and visited Sausalito upon arrival. It had been several decades since I have been in the Bay area, but it never disappoints. And, it inspired the design of this colorful tote!
This medium-sized shopper tote showcases the Sky Ombre collection from Jennifer Sampou on the exterior. I experimented with matchstitch/channel machine quilting - it transforms the fabric strips into plush, colorful stripes. I used a rainbow of bold colors for the exterior top panels, then added a cinnamon-colored cork trim to accent the top and on the base for extra durability. The spacious interior is lined in a bold floral fabric that brings all the colors together used on the exterior. It features a large zippered pocket to keep your keys and other small items securely stored. Multiple open slip pockets will keep you organized and frequently used items readily available. These deep pockets are ideal for holding sunglasses, a water bottle, and other daily essentials. Dual stationary shoulder straps with rivet accents add a distinctive finishing touch and offer all-day comfortable carrying. Please note that fabric and cork options will be reviewed prior to finalizing your order to ensure your satisfaction.
